Union pucks coverage is woefully insufficient. Ken Schott needs to travel to Union road games. After all, the Gazette is a Schenectady based newspaper and Union is located in Schenectady (pretty much right down the street from the Gazette building).
The T.U.C. is living in a fantasy world. Niagara barely drew a 1000 people for the CHA final that was held by their campus. They are not going to bring many fans to Albany. Clarkson will be a draw, but how many people are coming from out west support St. Cloud and Michigan? Not many is my guess. And, considering the lame attendance at 1/2 the price for the ECAC's last weekend, few locals are showing up for these games.
Regarding scholarships, is it fair to say the Ivy League schools all have much larger endowments and much more $$ for financial aid then Union? Hence, they can offer more attractive aid packages (including grants) to prospective student athletes.
