as an aside, re: Hillary running for President; she stood beside TWO Presidents who lied to the American people, and to Congress; will people remember that? Hell, no, they won't! Such short memories! Her husband was IMPEACHED, for God's sake! And now he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Is it just me that sees a problem here?

irish, a take on Forrest Gump? perfect fit! daily, lots of us agree on that; we have the BEST country on Earth, being led down the path to destruction by the likes of the Cuomos and Obamas and the rest of their ilk 'in control' who seem to think that they know what is best for us; isn't it time for our 'representatives' to start representing US, instead of striving for their own 'entitlements'?; cheese, a little revolution? bigger is better, is always what I've heard! A 2nd Boston Tea Party is on the agenda; we drove them out once, it can be done again! Unfortunately, and I can be guilty of this also, there are so many wishy-washy, status quo people out there that don't or won't want to upset the apple cart. We should be ashamed of ourselves; I know that I am. If I knew then, what I know now.........How could man have been so intelligent in 1787 and so complacent now?

Don, I can't wait to read the comments that your assinine letter will generate. Obama will go down in history as the WORST President ever. The best thing he could do would be to resign, but I fear it's much too late for our country. He had absolutely no qualifications to be President, yet the voters elected him TWICE! That certainly doesn't say much about our God-given intelligence, does it? How can you think that a government that is 17 trillion dollars in debt and can't manage it's own finances can possibly manage healthcare, ie, the non-Affordable Care Act? Take off the blinders, or are you happy to be one of the sheep being led to slaughter?

Janice, I, and many others, would agree with your assessment, especially your take on the demise of our republic, which has obviously been going on for quite a while. I was explaining to a younger person the other day that our future is in their hands, that it is their responsibility to take the reins and not sit idly by on the sidelines. Unfortunately, so many have their faces stuck in their i-whatevers that they have no idea what is going on in this State and Country, but they can tell you who won and lost on DWTS! Complacency! Nobody wants to get involved; the status quo is fine! For example, does anyone know that Obamacare registration is not HIPAA-compliant, that your privacy is not protected, as it is supposed to be by law? Does anyone care? I could go on and on, but why bother? When it comes down to a choice between using the gray matter or watching TV, the latter will most always win. What a world!

Right you are, Don. We've seen just how competent the government is with our ~17 trillon dollar debt; way too many of their fingers in our pies. Contrary to many opinions, the government, be it Albany or Washington, does NOT know what is best for us. I am saddened to think of the burden my grandchildren and great-grandchildren will bear.

Ron, you're aghast at the speed and minimal disclosure? How about Cuomo and the NY Safe Act? But that's OK?

Always pushing political affiliation; try blaming the idiots who wrote on the ballots; ignorance of the 'arcane' law is no excuse; they say ignorance is bliss; get a brain!
