Wendy- You're right. I saw Movin' Out at the Proctor last night, and Matthew Friedman was no Billy Joel. He was better. I don't know if you've heard Billy sing lately, but unfortunately his voice has been completely shot since about 1985. Matthew Friedman doesn't sound too much like Billy Joel, but he is an amazing singer!!! And based on the ovation that he got at the end of the show, everyone else in the theater thought so too. I agree with the rest of your review. The play was terrific, and the dancers and band were great. But next time you go to the Proctor, you might want to clean the wax out of your ears first.

On ‘Movin’ Out’ a dance spectacle with imagination
