I took the poll "are you making preparations for the Frankenstorm " and 46% said no. I'm a bit surprised by that percentage. Its inevitable, we will loose power in our region. All it takes is making sure you have batteries, flashlights, candles, ice, and a way to cook without a stove. Might want to consider it, it sure cant hurt.

So has ATF decided what they are going to DO with the foreclosed homes? Resale, renovate, destroy?

This is the crap that gives the HONEST Steak and Seafood door to door companies a bad name. My daughter has worked as a legitimate sales person, steak and seafood for 8+ years. Here in NY,New England,CA,NV and HI. And many times she has been told that other companies ripped customers off. Its a shame these idiots have to ruin it for everyone else.

Chris Morris,
I fully support your point on making evictions easier for landlords. Cant you legally turn off the electric, or something to make it intolerable for them to remain? Also, tenants leaving behind their belongings for landlords to deal with (If It's yours take it with you, storing their things should NOT be the landlords responsibility!

Magical.......I couldnt have said it better myself! Jack is one of the few honest, hard working, moral officers the city has ever had. To demote him, would be a complete lack of respect for all he has done, and all he is. The SPD needs more officers of his caliber (no pun intended)and character. I cant believe there is no Grandfather clause to keep him in his position.
And why is it, the media always has to mention a persons salary....It's really none of our business!

It is a total shame the red tape they're having to go thru to accomplish such a selfless act in trying to set up Jacks Place, in honor of their son. Not to mention the endless hours the family and the board has put in, and refused to give up. J'sP would not only benefit the families of children staying at the hospital it would mean more jobs, and more people spending money in Schenectady. To me thats a no brainer!
Schenectady's political agendas disgust me.

Hang in there Jacky....good karma always comes back around ;)

Anna S. Hershey,
Both my parents were born and raised in the Carolina's. And I swear, every time the commercial comes on for "Honey Boo Boo" they roll in their ashes, and I can hear my Mothers voice saying "trashy, just trashy!". Hopefully, people that watch the show
( I cant bring myself to do it, it makes me cringe) know they play off the stereotypical Redneck, actually more Hillbilly IMO, to the max for ratings. It is in no way a reflection of true and proud southerners.
As for rednecks, Mr. McLoughlin, Y'all need to step out of your comfort zone and visit some upstate towns :)

So very sorry to hear of your loss :(
I know many people feel the same as you do. Cancer IS big business, and big bucks.

Couldnt Mr. Rodriguez or better yet, the city put up some lamp posts, or some kind of real BRIGHT lighting? If it were me, I'd put up some of the biggest motion light sensors, that it'd look like a football field! Bet that would put a stop to it real fast....cheaper alternative than fencing or police time.
