This school is way too big - physically as well as in the number of children. It even looks unmanageable. But the main issue is that there are too many parents in this city who DO NOT CARE whether their kids go to school and what they do when they get there. The reason that TARDINESS is a problem is that it frequently goes along with truancy and other issues. There are programs around this state that seek to hold PARENTS responsible for getting their children to school. New York State is infamous for its lack of help for children who are mentally or emotionally ill. How many programs are there in this county that provide mental health CARE other than medication for kids?? Now that is a story the Gazette should think about covering.

I'd be happy to give her a few shots with an aluminum bat - you don't want a dog, don't get one, stupid.

This is a bloated drain on the taxpayers of New York - enough already. If it can't make a profit - let it go. Let it go private or be done with.

There is no punishment in the world that can give this guy what he deserves. If he doesn't go to prison - then the system is dead.

So they weren't far enough along to go to high school until they were suspended? Does that make any sense? And what about all the kids going to school three hours a day - what are they doing the rest of the time??? Until the parents are held accountable in some way - this is never going to get better.

Double dipping is a back breaker for taxpayers, the one group of people no one in the government cares about.
