Doug
If your thesis is true, why has the nations wealth been transferred to the top 1% with everyone else facing stagnant wages and fewer or no benefits?
You need to read Who Stole the American Dream by Hedrick Smith.

A bunch of ugly comments. Where is the news of the successful students, Ivy League admissions, courses in IB and the Arts far more than any school around offers, and other evidence of success? gina99 is half informed.

Did the editorial writer watch this week's debate?
Romney asked questions of Pres Obama which was against the rules.
He( and Paul Ryan) talked long beyond the allotted time every time they had the floor. Clearly a strategy.
Romney gave rebuttals when he already had his turn. When called on it by Candy Crowley he said I am going to make my comment anyway.
The President had to eventually behave the same to even the playing field.

I don't if the district is more favorable.
You should follow the money trail. Where is it coming from? Who is really funded this proposal and what would they bring to the district?
Do you want to saddle Schenectady with Brighter Choices?

Bob,
So protecting medicare, medicaid, and social security, protecting food safety and the environment, spreading the tax burden to the 1% is a collective mentality.
Give us a break, please. Nearly everything Obama has done was the Repubs agenda until he got elected. The real agenda is unwinnable by landslide so they stoop to collective mentality and other outrageous lies. Same as every election since Nixon.

Obamacare writer. They are not exempt. It's a 4 year right wing lie repeating a million times.

Linda Knights-she could not make the judgement suggested above because she has no concept of the meaning of the terms.
Medicare could be called socialism. Everyone pays and everyone gets the same benefits. The health care act requires everyone to have insurance at their choice of company, benefits and cost. That is capitalism at its finest.
She has no clue what the words mean or she is a party hack.

Richard Alvarez is dead right. We force college prep education on every kid which is the source of many of our problems. Finland which gets high ratings for its system these days by chatterers in education actually has 37% in vocational education. Imagine what a difference that would make in our statistics.
Great letter, Richard
