Schenectady School district taxpayers who are upset with the Charter School, should be more upset with their own schools for allowing a para to act as a substitute teacher. To be a para no degree is required, and their contracts forbid them to act as teacher. Recently, due to numerous teacher absences, paras have been used as teachers. To act as a teacher requires BOARD approval- not the whim of a principal. Teachers were pulled from special ed classes[ IEP contracts dictate teacher presence] and reassigned. The State Dept. of Education and Superintendent Ely need to look into this probable law violation.
I beg of you to not encourage people to "sell'' teeth. The Nazi's pulled the gold teeth of concentration camp internees- to even mention any value[ which is minimal compared to the price paid to a dentist] in dental gold is horrendous.

Maybe the DDS could lower prices, temporarily, to help the patient. $85 for a cleaning and xrays is a bit much.
