I sincerely doubt Hobby Lobby's overt Christianity. If they are so opposed to abortion why do they purchase so much merchandise from a country where forced abortions are more the rule than the exception. I guess Chinese fetuses don't count. For shame!

The biggest problem with economic development in Saratoga County is the extent to which the Republican Party restricts it. So now they have a NEW board with 1/3 membership elected Republicans from the Board of Supervisors. I know businesses who have been threatened if they failed to support the "right" candidates. Pretty sad.

Is a fifteen year-old legally allowed to be a rafter guide? New York has some pretty serious child labor laws and there's not a lot a fifteen year-old can legally do.

If the unenlightened would just learn a little bit more they might know that the federal government, like most state and local governments, often have antiquated equipment. The IRS did not have the capacity to back-up data; the poor fools were using a tape for back-up, one step above the ancient scribe. The back-up tapes were re-used most likely because it is impossible to purchase new ones since the technology is about 20 years old. One of the problems with the VA is that is uses ancient computer programs and has not been provided with the funds to up-date. Why? Ask the Republicans who voted down budget requests for the VA while giving the Dept. of Defense more money than they asked for. You might be horrified to know the amount of data that is backed-up in hard copy just because of a lack of computer space. The IRS, for instance, does not have "cloud" storage like you do.

Poor Mr Marvell thinks that a lone Senator or two can give instructions to a federal agency. Put the pipe down, pal.The IRS was actually scrutinizing liberal groups, ones with "98%" "Occupy___" and other similar names, and as many as the far-right groups. The new PACs have to prove they provide community services to even exist. Many of the so-called "Patriot" groups did nothing but politics. Since Mr Marvell also vilifies the President for not starting wars in Iraq, Syria and Ukraine one can only assume he has stock in Halliburton and is missing the big, fat dividends from the illegal wars started by Bush. At work I had my computer crash more than once. What would be alarming is finding that no computers crashed. As a citizen I am calling for truth and facts.

Only idiots call it Global Warming anymore. In fact that term hasn't been used on over a decade. Most credible scientists speak of Climate Change. Perhaps Mr. Gaetani has been living in a house with no windows, but I can attest to the severity of the climate in my 30+ years. Droughts are longer (John, check out California and most of the mid-west) and the rains we get now are often deluges, not rain. Getting 4 inches of rain in a day is NOT normal. Yes the temperatures have been getting warmer and colder for eons. Most of those changes were caused by "events". It's not a volcano that's messing with the atmosphere, it's all the crap we send up in smoke. Just keep on burning plastic.

I'd rather have a man spending his own money on his campaign than to be obligated to PACs like ALEC and the US Chamber of Commerce, or owned by the Koch brothers. Eldridge is doing a great job and spending his venture capital on local business. Gibson has learned who to court and how to impress them.

Vince should pay attention to the real news. The IRS scandal actually targeted more liberal groups than Tea Party ones. The Benghazi fiasco began years before when Republicans cut the foreign budgets, but let's blame the President for a single misstatement. No one went after Bush and Cheney when they took us into an illegal war, now did they?

Probably most "illegals" would jump at the chance to become citizens. Unfortunately they don't have a path....they can't just take a test....and we tend to forget about how necessary they are. What job did anyone ever take away from you, Biwemple? Do you harvest apples? Mow lawns?

He was very helpful in the recent Animal Shelter debacle, outing Mindy's role in all aspects of the hiring process. He was the first to expose the hiring process used in Saratoga County. Too bad the story is not interesting enough for the local papers.
