While this article provides useful information to the reader, the reporter included information that does not need to be known to the general public. Includig the way Mr. Barbic passed is not necessary, obituaries say that he died unexpectadely, is that not enough for readers to know? It is a private matter and completely disrespectful to his family. As a writer you should keep in mind the effects your words may have on people, and the ones this reporter used were inappropriate. His death does not even fit in to the article where it is placed, it sounds completely irrelevent when read, it does not flow. It seems as if it was inserted in randomly to get it in there somewhere. The reporter was supposed to be discussing the county's solution to the current assessor problem, not telling specifics into Mr. Barbic's death. I for one am disgusted with the lack of compassion this article shows, and perhaps the reporter and the paper should pay more attention to what they have in print.
