I happen to be a gay man, married (in Canada) to my partner of 35 years. If this farm does not want to host their wedding, I say give the business (and the attendant profit) to another venue. Money "talks", as always. Make it scream!

This is why we in NYS elect the Comptroller....to keep politics out of what they are charged to do. Bravo, Mr. DiNapoli. This kind of shenanigans is intolerable, especially given the state of the economy.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Law enforcement personnel have no bigger fish to catch? And $3,000 eh? Wow. That's it?! Spare me. Let's all remember this the next time they're looking for a raise.

This is an extremely ill-advised proposition. It would certainly discourage me from visiting the region!

If this includes CURRENT residents, it is an outrage. Most individuals living there are lower income and don't have a lot of options for renting elsewhere. Who decided this was a good idea to impose this, Mitt Romney?

So, this man's unbridled arrogance continues, only in a different location. Who's surprised? Not I!!

bsmaven alludes to the application of a "double standard". Want to talk seriously about a double standard? What is going on in the West Bank has gone on for 45 years. Jimmy Carter has it right: he described the situation as "apartheid". Where else in the world would the US unwaveringly support (and underwrite!) such an oppressive regime for so long? Where? And more importantly, WHY?
