If you want to pay more for those Niskayuna schools, Edwin, feel free to make a donation to the new foundation that's been set up by the School Board. Perhaps a "no" vote would force the Niskayuna School Board and other fiefdoms in NY to finally consolidate. Excellence in education is important. But, it can and should be achieved in a much more efficient way than what is being proposed by Nisky and other towns across your state. Good luck!

Other than lower taxes and greater freedom, the thing I love most about my move from NY to FL is the incredibly friendly function of my new astoundingly small and efficient government. I voted with my feet from Niskayuna to Estero and I am amused every time I read an article like this one. The weather is a perk, but the government is the game changer.

It's all about choices and what it important in your life. We took a really big hit on our house (not to mention the tax we had to pay just to sell it) when we moved out of NY. It has been worth every single lost dime!

I moved out of Schen'y and the state of NY 2 months ago because taxes are just too high. Sometimes, voting with your feet is the only way to get relief. Now, I pay %1 of property value in taxes and my government services are better than ever! NY governments will not listen to you until it's too late!

Studies show that learning outcomes in classes with 15 - 29 students are the same. Classes with fewer than 15 students experience a significant increase in learning outcomes. Classes with more than 29 students experience a significant decrease in learning outcomes.

Property taxes are increasing while property values are decreasing all over the state of NY. Good luck trying to get it under control. I tried and failed, so I moved out of the state.
