Yes, I agree totally! Our children and grandchildren, living in rural areas, deserve high speed internet access to keep up with what the schools expect in the twenty-first century. No longer can students just use paper and pencil and be competitive with those that have high speed internet to do research. This is especially true in the higher grades, even in elementary school. These students are the future of our country. Do what you can for them and our future.
No more Weekly TV Guide in the Sunday Gazette! That may be good for the Gazette, but it certainly isn't good for the Senior Citizens, who have been your faithful readers all these years. They rely on the Sunday TV Guide for their television viewing. The TV Guide, and coupons to save a few cents on groceries and other household items in a tough economy, are important to Senior Citizens, and Senior Citizens should be as important to you!
How can you close the MAIN library in Schenectady for 18 months?? This is the ONLY library that has internet access, to Heritage Quest and Ancestry, available to the public. This service is NOT available at the Branch Libraries. There are a lot of us, living in the area, that use this service.
