I am so happy that Obama won this election,we here in America need a change to give our children the sense of choice, change and diversity. Everyone keeps talking about " we have an African American President" yes we do but it goes beyond that, people didn't make there choice based on race, they made there choice based on change and the policies he wants to change, as well as our econmic crisis. Mccain wanted to give the rich people a break as always, but what about the everyday American that struggles? Mccain didn't care about us, just the RICH. Obama is a true down to earth person who has been where we all are and is willing to help make a change for the middle class , we are taxed to death while these weathly people keep getting breaks. It's time for a change and that change is now. And I don't regret my vote, not for one second.

In regards to the Kindergarten article. Full day is necessary, there are to many kids not getting the education, general education they need at home. So when they are in school longer they are learning more than they would at home. A lot of parents don't have the time or education themselves to educate there children, and as an educator this is a good idea for there future being at stake. You can definetly see which children need the extra time in school and which would be fine with 1/2 day but they can't single the kids out in groups like that. So although it may seem scary the kids will love it. My son was very attached to me and I was very concerned, but he did great and he was reading and writing in no time. Faster than my daughter did. with the different socioeconomic status among the various households the schools try to do what's best for the kids, and this is great for the kids

RE WEB parent-

You parents at the public schools are quick to judge us charter school parents and students and staff without a second thought. So why can't we be concerned of the horrible things we hear about on a daily basis at the public schools? The charter is a completely different atmosphere than the public, in the public the kids are a number and I have many friends with kids there that agree with me. At the charter ALL teachers and ALL staff new each student by name and the parents bet you ely or the director at the public school doesn't do that now do they? So when you guys know nothing about our school but what YOU HEAR you guys should KEEP your mouths SHUT TOO!!!!!

You go linda Brown. The neighbors are just finding anything to complain about. They got what they wanted so now they should leave us alone. And they need to know that the schenectady kids aren't any worse or better than the rotterdam kids. You just don't here about the rotterdam schools because everything is hush hush. But I have had parents tell me about drugs in the high school and many fights. So aren't you scared of your own children in your neighborhood (whom ever wrote the first article)? Wouldnt'you be more worried about the building being vacant and drug users and prostitutes hanging out in the neighborhood. Sometime you should think before you speak. Linda you have many people who support the charter as I do myself and it's a mistake it's closing. But this person and all the other neighbors need to either get the facts correct or butt out

get over it. you shouldn't of bought a house next to a school, that's common sense. I live next to a city school also and I knew that when I bought it. You don't like it just move

Thats right , the war is over and we need to let it go. I fought for the charter school 100% to stay open and sadly it's closing but I think the charter school needs to let the district come to the parents and let them show us what they have to offer our kids. This is about our kids and not letting them come in and get a chance to meet with the parents and let the parents register them is hurting the families that have supported the school the whole way and is not fair. I ask the Charter to please let the district come in to meet with us, this is hard enough for us why make it harder?

Thats right the media does over do it with these stories. And I see about 25 - 30 people everyday breaking the law. A very hefty majority and not every single indivdual does but enough to make a difference. And I care about what they do but not about there personal lives. The spitzer thing yeah he was wrong but we didn't have to hear about it all day for days on end. About bill clinton and what he did legally behind closed doors, who cares. It's things like that that are uncalled for that the media exposes and it's tiring. But yes spitzer did something illegal and yes we should know, but to drag it out, thats not needed

Yeah, but so is everyone else in the world breaking the law. Your not supposed to talk on a cell phone and drive and people do. Your not supposed to drink and drive but people do. Your not supposed to buy sex but people do. But we don't need to hear about this day in and out for weeks on end, its annoying and unneccessary. People need to live their own lives and not worry about what our politicans are doing. They are people to. People make mistakes and because they make mistakes doesn't mean they can't do there jobs!!!

Top 10 clients-
Who cares what the governer or the president does behind his or her own closed doors sexually. Does anyone question any of us as to what we all do. Lets focus on more important things like pulling our troops out of iraq. all these sex scandals are there business not ours. I could care less who sleeps with who and no one else should care either, thats there life. Also the media just wants some one to talk about . Soon as paterson took over the next day they we talking about a 10yr old affair. That;s his and his wife's business, not the worlds. Grow up people and get a life of your own to talk about.
