What? They're dropping a local (New York) team to cover an out-of-state team? That's just silly.

It seems more like a commentary on the economy -- people are really, really needing to find good deals this year, even if they have to camp out all day or leave their family dinner early to do it.

(And to biwemple, I'll just say that I disagree, 'cause some of us only have Sundays to do our shopping.)

He was feeling the meat? Why?? You don't need to feel meat, just look at it -- does it look nicely marbled? Then buy it and move on.

The last reverse-911 message I heard from Phil Barrett said that they've opened a shelter at the senior center and are encouraging people who live near the dam to take precautions, up to and including evacuation.

1-3 hours might be conservative, depending on the day -- if I'm home all day, sometimes I'll log in in the morning and just leave it up all day.
