If you compare dollars per citizen Glenville would be paying $2.81 per citizen. Niskayuna would be $2.47 ($53,800). Clifton park (Saratoga county) $2.45, Bethlehem comes in at $3.03 (wow) and Guilderland at $2.95 both in Albany county. Again these are the people who campaigned on lower spending and saving the taxpayer money.

Another slap in the face to the taxpayers of Glenville. I doubt that Mr.MacFarland woke up on Nov. 6 and had an epiphany to retire. I find this all too convenient. It seems to me that Supervisor Koetzle and his board of cronies withheld this information from the voters, as well as their intent. More of the lies, spin and untruths from the Glenville Republicans. $83,000 is a excessive amount of salary to pay a full time supervisor, well above both the salaries of comparable full time supervisors and the median household income for Glenville, And MacFarland will still stay on part time to do the jobs that Koetzle can't. These are the people who campaigned on lower spending, but yet have raised taxes every year. The people of Glenville need to take a good hard look at Their town Government and what it is REALLY doing.

@Tom, Apparently I received different lit than you did. The flood of lit I got from the county republicans was full of lies, half-truths and spin. I especially liked the pulp fiction that accused certain candidates of double-dipping and painted others as a political boss, both claims are laughable at the least. I received lit with false figures about Glenville's tax increases (12%, look it up yourself)and an accusation of over 40% taxes going to welfare. The Democratic lit was truthful, citing figures of tax breaks and loans, but apparently the republicans don't want the truth to get out. As far as signs, the democrats lost countless signs, stolen or torn, I've even seen pictures of people sandwiching the costlykoetzle.com signs, so that they could not be seen. Those were targeted hardest. Before pointing fingers about campaigning, look in the mirror first.

Koetzle DOES NOT deserve 4 more minutes!!! He did not want Target, as a matter of fact if you were at the 2/16/2011 Town Board meeting you would have heard him say, "I do not like big box stores!" He is out to make it appear as though he is looking out for the residents of Glenville, when all he is doing is looking out for himself and his own self interests. At this same organizational meeting, I asked about consolidated dispatch, and I was told that he was not concerned about public safety with regard to 911 calls, until he was receiving complaints that these calls were not being answered. Is this the type of Supervisor Glenville wants?!? Someone that is not concerned with public safety until AFTER something tragic happens?!?

Gina M. Wierzbowski, I just would like to comment on the forum that I was also at...first off, you and Chris continue to take credit for bringing Target to Glenville, that project was brought to our town by our extremely hard working DEMOCRATIC County Legislature and Metroplex. And your LDC is giving many loans to Republican small business owners and is full of Republican "buddies" of yours, why are you all so afraid to have some Democrats on your committees. Both my husband and I have tried to volunteer, my husband was allowed on a committee, but, they scheduled all of the meetings while he was at work and I was told by Jamie MacFarland that I could not serve on a committee.
