To wmarincic:
Wow?! It was a story about firefighters, not police. Whom, mind you, are civil servants......
Reading IS fundamental! Just saying......

I travel alot for work in my car and only lament that I can't pick up the 1300 signal further south of Catskill. Love Talk 1300 !! Awesome choice to have John Sweeney back in the public eye, or in this case ear! While everyone is certainly entitled to their opinions, remember Jesus admonition to the woman accused of adultery in John 8:7 “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” What the conservative Republicans need in the Capital District is a voice, and John will be that voice and I can't wait!!! It sure as heck is NOT Ed Cox, especially after what I heard from him on Fred Dicker's radio show this morning....

What a thoughtless, idiotic, ignorant and hurtful comment. Being a child of a Mom who got lost as well, it's an absolutely terrifying experience. That comment Sir/Madam will surely come back to haunt you.

So, I'm just thinking isn't this whole proposal bit a little over the top considering they've been living together for "several years and have two daughters together?" I mean really, it sounded so romantic till I read that line. The media got totally sucked up in this too. And for their parents to make the trip up from Florida for the proposal? How embarrassing.... Congratulations on finally legitimizing your relationship, no longer shacking up and giving your daughters a married Mommy and Daddy.I just guess there's no shame anymore. How weird.......

If it were just sex education that was being taught- you know the "birds and the bees"- that would be one thing. However, an organization like Planned Parenthood that teaches children how to put a condom on, provides abortions on demand, and is actively trying to influence children to think an alternate birth control method is the Day After Pill should NOT be allowed in public schools under the guise of Sex Educators. An organization such as theirs with a clear agenda should not be allowed to "offer" their brand of "Sex education".

Jennings and that idiotic city council are solely responsible for pandering to these people and allowing them to take it from a "protest" to an "encampment" on taxpayer supported City property. Andy Cuomo put his foot down and said NO to these people and those hoodlums never got a foothold on state owned parks. Hmmm, no problems and no occupying NYS owned parks.
Jennings' spineless leadership empowered them and he's responsible SOLELY for those BRAVE Police Officers being put in harm's way. Now the hoodlums are going to bring police brutality lawsuits and the taxpayers LOSE again!!! Are you kidding me, Jerry??!! Nice job! You should be ashamed!!! Don't even get me started on King David Soares, the DA in name only, who picks and chooses whom to prosecute and what laws to uphold!! SHAME on the lot of you!!!

Great! We have another politician in Andy Cuomo who is a proven flip-flopper. He emphatically said he would NOT raise taxes on the millionaires (actually those who make over $200,000.) because it stifles job growth as those folks are the employers of the rest of us(oh,except for government employees). Then he goes and does it and rationalizes it 10 ways to Sunday! Hmmmm, seems like the real "steamroller" wasn't Spitzer after all.......

This man has done more, singlehandedly, for the Capital Region than any other politician to date. Why do you think the Capital Region always has a lower unemployment rate than the national average and the lowest in the State? During his tenure, the area moniker was born, Tech Valley, and this area is now more revered than Austin, Texas and is the leader in tech jobs. Then he was able to bring a minor league baseball franchise, The Tri-City ValleyCats, to the area which has accomplished a NY-Penn League Championship and also brought the NY-Penn League All Star game here as well. It has provided more inexpensive clean family fun than any other of these pompous jackasses, the prosecutors. It took these lame-brained prosecutors over three years to come up with any charges at all because they were just interested in slamming a Republican politician. Ask yourselves why they haven't investigated Shelly Silver. Why have they remained silent, regarding the lawmakers who have been exposed by Greg Floyd's CBS6Albany reports of cheating the NY taxpayers on their expense reports when they werent even in Albany??!! How about investigating the Albany County DA, David Soares, who picks and chooses whom to prosecute ie: the arrested and charged, Occupy Albany protesters??!! Outrageous!!! Thank you, Joe Bruno, for all you have done for our area!! You are loved and prayed for!!
