This is appalling. That a sitting New York State senator would suggest torturing a suspect. Appalling.

#1 Torture is completely contrary to our constitution. Torture is unconstitutional.

#2 Torture does not work. People will do and say anything to make the torture stop. Don't take my word for it, read what experts in interrogation say:

#3 America is better than that. We are a nation of laws. We believe in due process. America will not stoop to the level of criminals by using torture.

The article says the State Troopers took water from the protesters. Water. And, this is helpful, how?

Clearly the message of Occupy Albany is so threatening, the State Troopers need to take away their water.
