I used to be in the restaurant business. The staff received tips by credit card and also by cash payment. The credit card tips had to be declared to the Internal Revenue Service because they could be traced back to the sale. How much of the cash tips did they declare?

I'll accept that some days Charlie may make no tips. Some people are just cheap and sometimes travelers have little more than Charlie. On most days I suspect Charlie makes out just fine.

As for the wallet rubber bands, they keep the wallet contents in place and the rubber helps keep the wallet in the pant pocket. Clearly the writer doesn't have a lot of street time.

Does anyone recognize the open ended time frame of the question? I would like Smithfield to ask how many of it's employees older than 40, certainly older than 50, and then fire everyone who has used the "N" word.

I was an NAACP member in the 1950's and have used the word does the former make me a saint or the later make me racist? Use your heads, pandering to past history has no bearing here. The real question of the issue is the question of Paula's current discriminatory actions or lack thereof. If someone can prove she abused blacks or lynched blacks in the 50's or 60's. She deserves everything she gets but to seek retribution on a resident of the South during this period for the word's use would likely cause the firing of the majority of the country.
