So who is responsible for the pipe after the meter? If it is Galesi group, they have a problem. If it is the town's problem they need to fix it. If I were Galesi I would have my own meter next to the town's and good calibration records!

If I were asked to be on a jury in Schenectady county with the knowledge that Schenectady police were going to testify, I would be hard pressed to find someone guilty knowing the past performance of the department does not follow proper protocol implying any testimony they provide may be tainted.

Weapons in the wrong hands don't make me feel safe and since we can't determine, without a doubt, the difference between the right and wrong hands, I don't feel safe. Now I don't lose sleep about it as I try not to let things I can't control also ruin my health. But, so how can I tell kids to feel safe without being a hypocrite?

There is a reason for term limits. While Farley is a State senator, the federal government has a mandatory retirement policy for federal judges and for a reason, as far as I can see, needs to be placed on all officials that receive a taxpayer funded job.

If the electoral college was not a state take all but rather a congressional district take all, the playing field might be a lot different

I think it is about time to dissolve the county and consoladate it with something bigger but more efficient. There is no reason these days to have a dozen different school systems, police & fire departments, court systems, supervisors and mayors. If they could create the city of New York out of a patchwork of fiefdoms a hundred years ago, surely they can do something here.

Time to unload a bunch of authorities and make the boards non paying jobs or at least within the guidelines paid to state government officials. Is there any reason for the the NYS Thruway authority when it was suppose to be paid off in 1996? Talk about a jobs creating boondoggle and a killer of companies coming to NY! That could go and open up NY business like you wouldn't believe. Truckers don't bypass by dropping down to I80 west for nothing. If the pay toll highway is so good, why isn't there more?

There is a need to move to a 401K format instead of a defined pension plan with the community contributing into it. Defined pension plans, especially in the private sector, are a from a time gone by era and it is time the public sector follow suit.

Banning them from owning or possessing a firearm for 10 years to life should be the response to someone who is found to be irresponsible with a fire arm. Maybe let them go with a misdemeanor crime and big fine punishment the 1st time but gun possession there after is a felony and mandatory year in prison.
