You're right, Jeff. The idea of giving the series to the team with the most runs scored in two games is crazy.

I see your dad's point. There aren't too many players on the Patriots who "stink," which is why they've been able to use spare parts like Julian Edelman and Aaron Hernandez (well, he's definitely not their No. 1 TE) in unorthodox roles the past couple of weeks, mostly to good effect. So maybe a surprise play for dear old dad/Chad would be a good idea.

I agree with all your picks, and your reasoning. But somethin' tells me at least one of 'em will be wrong.

You're right about the '04 Sox. They had some overpriced prima donnas (curt schilling more than derek lowe) but also some Beane-type "value" players like Bill Mueller, Whichever Cabrera they had playing shortstop, Mark Bellhorn, etc. Oh, and don't forget Kevin Millar, either.

For the record: It was Bard who got the loss Tuesday. Papelbon (who was only charged with the 7th run in a 7-5 loss) got a blown save. Two chokers cut out of the same cloth.

I want to go there right now! I've had He'Brew once or twice, and it's good stuff! Definitely be checking this place out soon!

How could you write about To Have and Have Not without at least mentioning Walter Brennan ("Ever been stung by a dead bee, Harry?")?

Why does the government make us apply for the tax credit in order to get it? Why not just adjust the tables so it's automatic?
