I don't understand all of the controversy. Why didn't they just cremate the remains?

Why don't we have the death penalty in this state? This crime begs the question & if convicted, this guy deserves it.

Everyone wants lower taxes but no one is willing to give up anything to get them. Every little burg and podunk has to keep it's own PD & Fire, they all need to have their own schools and maintain their own govt. Consolidation is the way to go but you'll never convince the masses....

Great stuff. I used to work in a safe area until our wonderful Governor "restacked" us & moved us to the hell hole that is downtown Albany.

I am so sick of hearing these stories! The penalties for this and all forms of animal abuse need to be much harsher.

The Republican party needs to widen it's views & constituency if it's going to survive. The face of America is changing, has changed. You can't win elections by aligning yourself with white-right-wing-wackos (Paul Ryan) and expect to be President. Beside did anyone actually believe that Romney believed his own rhetoric? There's no way that he would have been elected Govenor of a liberal state like Massachusetts if he had espoused the views he claimed in this race.

It's not just the City. The county is just as bad. I've been trying to sell a 4 acre lot in Glenville for 3 years. We're actually willing to take a loss to get out from under it. We also have a 7 area parcel in Saratoga county. The taxes on the lot in Sch'dy county are almost $1000/year. They're just over $300 in Saratoga County for almost twice the amount of land! I grew up in the City and feel bad about all of the bad press & reputation but why would anyone buy in Sch'dy with the strangling taxes?

This is very sad. I grew up in that neighborhood. One of my best friends lived 2 doors down from there. It used to be populated with working/middle class families. Now it's section 8, single moms, drug dealers & gang-bangers! A couple of years ago the elementary school that I went to, by then, abandoned was burned down by a couple of runaways. I'm afraid to drive to/from the hospital through any of those blocks. From Bradley to Becker to State Streets, the whole area is a cesspool! Glad to be out of the city but selling a house anywhere in Sch'dy county is nearly impossible!
