Denise Turgeon - Thank you for your well researched and informative letter. Sadly, I am afraid that the people that really need this information will find some reason to disbelieve the facts and denigrate you point.

I admire you for your lack of prejudice and I wish that were true of all Americans. I believe that playing with the exaggerated lips on the mask and the broom stick raise this issue to to a level of racism. I, too am tired of the race issue and wish we did not have to continue to fight discrimination, but as I said, not all are as tolerant as you, whether white, black or whatever.

I don't believe that racism was the motive with the Bush mask. Besides - who said I wasn't outraged?

Re: George Nigriny - Criticizing any President and his policies is certainly acceptible, but this was blatant racism. Maybe you should actually look at the clip of this guy inciting the crowd and the clown with a broom stick sticking up his @@@@@ and the exaggerated facial features. I would be interested to know if you find this great amusement. Luckily, our free speech is protected and this disgusting display of racism can be expressed without being subjected to a fatwa.

Sorry Bill - Abortion was not my point. All liberals are not pro abortion and my thoughts do not necessarily need changing. There are many other women's issues including benefits under the Affordable Care Act, fair pay, and of course, idiotic statements regarding rape. phils2008 - ____

Mr. Gaffney - let's face it there is more than enough enabling on both sides: John Ensign, Mark Sanford, Mark Foley, Arnold Schwarzenegger and of course David Vitter - shall I go on? The real war on women is reflected in the voting history of the GOP.

wmarincic - I am very aware of HEAP but please give me a site where I can research these stipends available for toilet paper. Again, I, also, hear a lot of things.

Bob - who will pay for the drug tests? how often will they be required? who will feed the children if the mother or father fails the test? I do agree that there needs to be consequences for cheating the system, but I sure as heck would hate to go without toilet paper or electricity. The whole system needs an overhaul.

I guess you learn something everyday. Didn't realize illegal immigrants could vote, democratic or republican!!!! Check out the Texas voter laws being passed that reduce the number of poling places in one district so that 50,000 hispanic and black voters have one poling place and the whites now have only one place as well, for 5,000 or so voters. Not much discrimination there. And that is just one small example. Try researching what is happening in this country. What you seem to call altruistic, I call just plain fair and equal. Just what is our sinister liberal motive???
