Need JOBS! Decent paying jobs! The dumbass city and state leaders allowed the good jobs to slip away and do NOTHING to entice new jobs to come. I have not lived there for a long time but all my family is still there. I miss it so much but afraid to come back. TAX TAX TAX is all they know how to do!

Schenectady used to be a prospering city. I remember as a kid when GE was in it's heyday. Lots of good jobs available to those that wanted to earn an honest respectable living. Now look at it.... nothing but service industry type jobs that have low pay. When you allow the "good" jobs to go away, this current edition of Schenectady is what you get.

I can remember as a kid riding my bike all over Mt Pleasant without fear. I can also remember not being too afraid to go pretty much anywhere. How different that is now.

Really a shame that Local and state leaders have allowed this to happen. Shame on you!

Maybe when law enforcement is allowed to go after these "bad guys" without fear of reprisal over some b.s. technicality, or better yet, being accused of being racist, perhaps some of the violence will subside. That and good paying jobs being made available!
