This man is a genuine hero, not only did he risk his life fighting our enemies to protect our country, he suffered untold misery as a POW at the hands of our enemies. He has earned the right to exercise his first ammendment rights and say whatever he feels. If you feel victimized because he made a true statement, then it is on you not him. He was not attacking you for your lack of religious beliefs, he was just relating a factual situation that happened as a result of an individuals experiences fighting in a war. Remember the Constitution guarantees us the right OF religion as well as freedom FROM religion. If something this trivial is such an insult to you I wonder what will happen if you are ever really insulted. When people start complaining about other people exercising their freedom of speech and their religious beliefs then they are no better than the Nazis who murdered untold millions.(I may disagree with your opinion but I will fight for your right to speak it.)It is amazing that people who believe in God rarely feel slighted when Athiests complain about them exercising their freedom of religion, but when People who believe in God speak their mind the Athiests come out of the woodwork complaining claiming they have been insulted and treated like they are second class. If this veteran relating a personal story about a man being an athiest and changing his mind bothers you so much, or the fact that his words were reported here for all to read bothers you, maybe you need to visit places like Cuba or North Korea or Iran or China where people are still arrested and thrown into prison and tortured and yes even executed for simply voicing their opinions.
