This is great- but banks do not cooperate.
To open a savings account most ask for a minimum balance, or no free checking. Someone with no job or who owes a bank, or spotty credit, will not be able to to this.
Low income workers do not have the same opportunity.
Of course, with the trouble in the economy of bad credit and mortgage issues playing field is more level.

I think the school should close. I know several substitute teachers who went for one day and will never return.
According to these experienced teachers, there is no management of the children, no authority, It is 95% behavior management and 5% instruction- according to a TEACHER in the school.
Schenectady may be bad enough- but the children will have instruction and learn Close it- Charter schools are created by parents who have children that are on the verge of suspension or expulsion.

I wish that American children, in the Schenectady schools[ or any school] would have the motivation to learn English, as the immigrant does.
As a teacher, I see the wasted education that the American born child is offered, where the people who truly suffered-true heros- cherish their opportunity.
