It sure would be nice to have a city historian. We had a darn good one till recent years, but the City Council, I believe, is the entity that saw fit to eliminate his job. He's on to other locales that do want to pay for his enthusiasm and expertise.

Yes, I'm not concerned about the Olender building going down, as it wasn't particularly historically significant. It's hard waiting to know about the developer. Looks like there won't be community input. There needs to be residential and retail.
