What a concept...consider the person for the job, rather than his/her political affiliation.

I wish I was old, like I am now, when I took American History in high school so I could have appreciated what shaped our country. The wrongs that were done, as well as the rights, all had meaning and reasons.

What's the big deal? This guy should file the paperwork that the Town requires, as long as he has nothing to hide, and be done with it. The permitting process could/would protect the Town from any possible lawsuits.

And just how, except with some known persons, are the police supposed to know if they are dealing with a mentally ill person, or just someone bent on having a confrontation with the law? The police have every right to protect themselves and others in situations where the "bad guy's" mental state is unknown.

Does this mean the Thruway may become a toll-free highway as promised for the mid 90's, back when the Thruway was built? What a boon to economic development in the Mohawk Valley IF those tolls are lifted.

I guess the Republican leadership can't listen to the voting public...and they wonder why people want change. Anyone who thinks Trump could/would run amok as president couldn't have accepted Obama either. No one is perfect by any means, but whoever is ultimately elected will be subject to the checks and balances that our forefathers put in place to keep the Republic running as smoothly as possible.

I can understand that some may still be fighting the Civil War and find the confederate flag offensive, but from what I've read, the ISIS flag is also available for sale. Which is more offensive? Just saying, If I had a choice........
