Let's hope these players pay the piper more quickly than Silver and Skelos have. Somehow, I have a feeling, these people will escape the corruption charges and plead something much less damaging. The inner circle protects their own.

Go for it as soon as "they" come up with a field sobriety test to monitor/enforce driving under the influence.

Why is it that inappropriate language and issues that are well over ten years old would exceed the issues of endangering national security, taking millions from foreign governments and known people who want favors, operating a "foundation" that has elevated her daughter to millionaire status in a matter of a few years, a "foundation" theoretically created to help humanity (IF you have a FOB (friends of Bill) on the application) and her ever changing attitudes toward Wall St. I could go on. Neither candidate is squeaky clean but the non politician may enact enough changes to weed out a lot of the same old, same old ways of ruining, I mean running, our country.

We have laws that cover everything from soup to nuts. Why isn't there a law on the books that prohibits "hoodies" or any other face covering in a bank or even other public areas? And don't give me the "rights" issue that some would claim. This is for public safety!

The next thing that has to be imposed on county governments is a restriction on the amount of fund balance that can be used to comply with the tax cap. Fund balances belong to the taxpayers through either over taxation or prudent spending (yeah right) and as such should not be allowed for use as an open checkbook.

For what these athletes give up to practice and practice and practice for our country, I would think a tax exemption on their medals and prize money should be a "given". The endorsement incomes that will follow, should be taxed.

Hold a fishing contest, with a nominal award for catching one or both. Maybe a new rod & reel? It would keep a bunch of kids busy, if nothing else.

Now, if only the County had enough beds to support the travelers......

What a concept...consider the person for the job, rather than his/her political affiliation.
