I find it incredible that the ballot that did NOT contain initials was invalidated when the voter's NO VOTE designation with regard to a particular proposition is specifically allowed by Election Law.

Richard Hartunian, like his sister who was killed in the Lockerbee crash, was a native of Colonie, not Niskayuna, though both graduated from Niskayuna High School. That does not, in and of itself, make one a "native" of Niskayuna. Mr. Hartunian now lives in Delmar and works in Albany. I consider him an excellent appointee and commend Senator Schumer for recommending him and President Obama for nominating him, but he is a native of Colonie, where he grew up.

Carl- I am disappointed that you have soured on Barack. He is our only hope of getting out of Iraq within the next eight, perhaps the next hundred years. He is the only one of the remaining three candidates who inspires both young people and many older ones like me. Flags or not, his speech on race was a masterpiece. I look forward to his fireside chats of years to come.
