How about paying for a police officer by cutting some of the fat at the top of the schools budget. The only thing to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good gut with a gun. The mental health professional in the school is not a bad idea either. However we have to be careful here. It needs to be fine tuned. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and what ever.

We are not allowed ASSAULT WEAPONS of any kind under federal and state laws. Five round in five seconds has been around ever sense little .22cal rifles were made long ago and ever since and the same shotguns semi-auto for hunting.(I could take a plain jean little .22cal rifle and take off the wood stock and replace it with a metal one and all the extra parts that mark it look like the type the military has) Where should a person keep them? In a central depository? Like the places in Europe were the Germans marched in and took all them? I know people who own guns as well as those who don't what does that prove? I'm tired of people who don't know a DAM think about guns spouting off misinformation about guns. When you can give the correct information then I'll give you credit, but until then------I do not want to listen to this crap.

No,it has not really, except the State restricts a lot of activity and development like snowmobiling and ATV etc. And you can't do what ever you want even if you know someone. Even if you own the property. This is a park you have to respect it for what it is. I live here in the park and I like it the way it is. The building of SECOND HOMES has been prolific squeezing homes in every little space that can be found. The only think can be said is home prices are inflated and people don't live in them except a couple month a year. I think it's time to put the breaks on. If one was lucky to make a living and retire here paid off your home and BAM! the price squeeze is on. I love it here but staying has become a struggle.

Charge the State Constitution in 2017? IMPROVE the Constitution? I don't think so. It is in there to restrict development sir, NOT increase it or in the future let it go into private hands. What do you think the state will be a bank to purchase land, then sell it? The Constitution put restrictions in there for a purpose, leave it alone. People who decide to live and work in the park have to understand it's the park and that's the way it is. If it don't fit their need move to a place that dose.

I'll do my best to correct my spelling and grammar in the future. However, religion never entered into the Scouts other than, A Scout Reverend, and I'll do my best to God and Country. As far as that goes that is all I recall. Stearnst you would do better getting a life instead of proofreading articles. I stand by my former comment. I made Eagle in 1958 so possibly I'm a little rusty.

The Boy Scouts can't differentiate between a pedophile and a gay person, therefore there rule is no gay people. Why? you ask,the reason is many if not all pedophiles say they are gay. They almost never say they are a pedophile. So it's better to error on the side of safety for the kids. The Scouts are a fine organization many boys go through Scouting with out ever being subjected to any sort of abnormal behavior what so ever. I know I did and I'm a Eagle.

YES, President Obama just can't tell the truth. His wish list just don't cut it. The man who asked the president this Mr.President,I voted for you in the last election but today everything in my life has increased. Why should I vote for you in this election? All the President did was tell him what he wanted to do,NOT what he did. He's has done nothing period.
