Grandstanding...I would've preferred a special election to choose my own mayor. But we didn't have a choice in the matter--the fix was on. That's OK though because this little trip for McCarthy could prove that all we really need is a "part-time" mayor anyway.

How much of this 7% are going to be productive, hard working, law-abiding, property owning, tax-paying citizens? How many only moved up here from NYC because they heard it was easier to get welfare here? Is this really a success story?

Again--let's reward failure. Let's cover up incompetance by giving a meaningless job where he can't do any harm. Have to protect the party as well as Daddy's legacy...

"in the past month as he has traveled across the state to learn about various projects, including inner-harbor projects in Utica and Syracuse."--maybe the past month he should've been doing the city's business--what he was elected to do. And I'd like to know whose dime he "traveled across the state" on.

Niskayuna was crying for a new firehouse to replace the one on Balltown Rd. Why not one of these plaza stores? Replace the windows with overhead doors and reconfigure the interior for office/living space. It's centrally located and a smart use of an already existing structure. It would be much cheaper than building new or adding on to the existing building.

Children of priviledge who don't know how to do the RIGHT thing. All they were taught was how to run and hide behind a lawyer that Mommy and Daddy will pay for. SOMEBODY knows SOMETHING about what happened to this kid. They have no conscience and no sympathy for the dead kid's parents. They care only about themselves and how it will effect them. They should be ashamed, but don't know how to be. Disgusting people.

He quit because it was too hard and was rewarded for FAILURE by Gov Cuomo. NY's elected officials are pathetic.

Is it me or does there seem to be more crime being reported out of Albany? What is going on down there? Where are the police? What is their plan? I'd like to hear something from their Chief. He was only on the job for 15 years before he became Chief. Is he experienced enough to run that department?

I tried in vain for 8 years to have my corner made into a 4-way stop instead of a 2-way stop due to the accidents and near accidents. I spoke personally to both Mayor Stratton who said he would look into it and to John Coluccio in the Signals Office, who ruled it as unnecessary. Well, we had our 12th accident in 8 years last week. No deaths yet--perhaps that's what they're waiting for.
