Carl, please discuss the effect of the YMCA moving to Center City on the businesses and traffic in that area. People have been complaining for years about the Y residents hanging around outside the Y and disturbances. How do the Jay St merchants feel about this. I've read nothing about this aspect of the Y moving. Just after becoming some semblance of respectability in that area and now the "down and out" residents being let loose there, doesn't seem too smart. Am I missing something? Will there still be resident living when the Y moves?

Do their Job? The police, or the parents of the 30 animals out wilding at 1:30. Don't they go to school or have to work in the morning? I'm sick of blaming the copes. They can't be everywhere. What's with this white moron walking thru that neighborhood at 1:30? He's as much to blame as the 30 jerks. What would you do if you saw 30 punks hanging around the corner in your neighborhood at 1:30? You'd call the police, right? Where are these people of the neighborhood? Cop says parents don't concern themselves with the kids being out, but watch out if a cop says something to the kids. That says it all, parents{?} who don't care. Nothing will ever change in Hamilton Hill.

I don't want to talk about the union right now, I'm upset about the story of the man getting beat up in Hamilton Hill. 30 kids roaming the street at 1:30 in the morning? Where are the parents? The cop spokesman answered it, they don't care about that, but they'd raise hell if the cops talked to their kids. So now we get another lawsuit. What's this moron doing walking thru those neighborhoods at 1:30? Not a thing right with this whole scenario. Maybe the cops weren't specifically on their beat, but come on, this isn't the cops fault. Not at all.

I think most of us agree with what you continue to say about teachers, tenure, merits, cushy jobs, etc. But why continue to beat a dead horse when you yourself know the answer. The teachers union is so strong noone can do a thing about it. Our taxes will continue to go up forever. Voting no on school budgets doesn't do any good. There's nothing we can do. Why continue to write about it?

We all know you believe in their innocence, but myself and most people I talk to, can't get over one thing. If they weren't guilty, why didn't they go directly to the police or lawyer or FBI when the provoceteur{sp} first contacted them. Don't say they were ignorant foreigners. Knowing right from wrong is universal. That's the problem most of us have.

I can't recommend any of your new considerations, but Family Tree is horribly unfunny. There has to be new and better choices. Get rid of Gasoline Alley,Lio, Rose is Rose.
