What about a store like this in the Burnt Hills area; the store would do very well. There is not a food store in the area, as you must go to Glenville or Ballston Spa.

In regards to BH-BL full-time kindergarten and tax hike: first of all, as long as there is a raise in salary and health insurance costs taxes will rise. Full day kindergarten or not, your taxes will go up, the question should be how much will they go up and then look into what they base the hike on. We are dreaming if we think there will ever be a year with no tax hike! Why do we except decisions from businesses/companies (National Grid, Time Warner Cable, groceries, or any of the products we need/want), when they raise prices for the purpose of making a better profit, yet we question our schools when there is a tax hike. Again, the question should be how much and where is it going or rather what it is being used for because it certainly is not being used for a profit!!!

This is long, long overdue! E-Z pass had to have (and will continue) a major impact. The Thruway was built and established to be toll free by the year 2000.

See the front page of the business section today 1/8/13. New York is the second highest average gas price in the nation??????
Same article shows some states paying under $3 per gallon; and don't say the difference is in taxes! BS
Hawaii at $4/gallon; it is an Island with higher cost on everything.

For the longest time the lowest priced gas was in the Ballston Spa area. Anyone know why that is not so anymore? Are there new taxes in that area that are causing this? Why is the Rotterdam/Sch'dy area the lowest now, when they were always one of the highest? Inquisitive mind.

Is there a sound reason as to why we are not looking at,using, making available, Natural Gas as another source for powering vehicles?

Great to see Districts thinking outside the box to get resources they may need while saving money. I would think there are other fertile areas where that could be accomplished; possibly transportation.

The State needs to look at their own "mandates" that cause the schools big dollars!!
Then together, the state and the schools need to look at Transportation (MANDATES), and maybe look at how the rural schools are impacted vs. the big city schools. They both need to think outside the box on Transportation. Does each student really need a seat on the bus when they never ride??? The State "mandated" programs are causing the schools (and the taxpayers) big money. Are they really necessary;really?
