As you said in your column about Spitzer, never underestimate the human heart. I'm baffled that a man with such power, and credentials, would do something as destructive as get involved with a prostitute, (and money launder?). Didn't he know the law? Wasn't he at one time a prosecutor? His actions just brings up more questions about his intelligence. It's one thing to be a regular Joe paying for a call girl but he was not a regular Joe. This man came from good schools, was at least partially responsible for the demise of the Gambino family operation, held everyone else accountable as Attorney General. Now, at the seat of NY government, we learn that he's only human and as destructable as the rest of us.
The human heart may or may not have anything to do with his actions that lead to his demise but his mind sure does. Maybe it's time for his heart to play a bigger role in his life now that he'll have some time to think about what comes next.
