About 400 elementary- and middle-school students taking part in the Shenendehowa Inventors program will display their inventions at the former Cotton Market store at Clifton Park Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
I'd like to comment on the issue of government funding for nursing homes because my great grandmother benefits from the excellent care which she recives at the Wesley nursing home in Saratoga Springs. I was shocked when I read that comment by Jo Ann Constantino of Troy about the funding cuts made by the government. The elder citizens of our communites contributed to the Social Security and Medicare systems during their working lives. So I think they deserve the proper care and funding to be taken care of for the remainder of their lives. I agree with her opinion and hope that when I'm in a nursing home, there will be people who stand up for my rights.
