This offer of a joint investigation between N. Korea and the U.S. is the biggest joke since O.J. Simpson wanted to help in the investigation to find Nicole's killer.

So there were 3 winners and 13 losers. A year or two after they open, we may say that there were 13 winners and 3 losers, if whats happening to Casinos in Vegas, Atlantic city and in Maryland are any indicator.

I have to ask what made the commission decide on Schenectady? Perhaps they did not like the agreements the Rennselaer site made with Albany about money? Perhaps logistics?

Vincents attorney, Eric Sills mentioned there are no winners in a case like this. WRONG. There is a winner and it is him. He probably fattened his wallet quite well with his fees. Tom Annelli, the DWI guy would probably want to hire him for his law firm. The attorney who prosecuted this sure has egg on his face, you would have thought this would have been an open and shut case.

They better install a revolving door at the employee entrance, they will need it. It appears that under county ownership, the staff was paid well, perhaps a little too well, now they will be underpaid by no small amount. You can bet there will be such a turnover in staff that the state agency that oversees such facilities will have to monitor quality of care more closely, since the new owner wants to operate at lower staffing levels.

I have to question the need for a Wal-Mart in Ballston Spa when their are 4 others within 25 minutes. Amsterdam, Halfmoon, Glenville and Wilton. There are also Targets in those same locations. For groceries there are Price Choppers in Malta and on Ballston Ave. in Saratoga Sprs that are close by, Also Hannaford in Geyser Crest and in Round Lk. Those like myself would be glad to have these services available that close. One other thing, Wal-Mart is sneeky. They have agreed to build a smaller store than they originally wanted, and set aside 50,000 square feet for groceries. Just watch, once built, they will apply to build another separate free standing store, move the groceries into that, and put more general merchandise in the original store. They will get their own way a little differently.

Why is it so many of these law enforcement officers are finding themselves on the wrong side of the law, seemingly everywhere? In the Saratoga county sheriffs department alone there has been this incident along with two others in the last year or so, One of which a deputy vandalized a car in a domestic dispute and another where a deputy was driving a drug dealer around. The state police have had their share including DWI's and the recent incident in Clinton county where a trooper was driving recklessly crossed in front of a car carrying a mother and two children and in the process killing the mother. The son of the Rennselaer police chief also a police officer, a DWI accident where someone died as a result. The Schenectady police department went through a costly series of legal procedures to fire at least 3 cops for misconduct. The Albany police department has also fired a few bad officers for violations. And the list goes on. These officers are suppose to uphold the law not break it.

I have to ask the question; Why do they need another Wal-Mart in B.S. when there are 4 Wal-Mart stores of at least one of which is less than 30 minutes from wherever you may live in the B.S. area. Stores located in Amsterdam, Clifton Park, Glenville and Wilton. There are many people live in much more rural areas, the adirondacks in particular that would be thrilled to have a Wal-Mart or other retailers that close to them.
