First of all, a vote for other than Donald Trump is a vote for
Hillary is not true. Most of the attendees are from NY or some other non-battleground state. In NY, democrats have a better than 2-1 enrollment advantage, any shift in votes because of the gun lobby won't put more than a dent in the voting results. The city center management is giving the indication that they would like to attract more conventions to Saratoga. There has been a recent increase the the motel rooms available in the area and it is possible that there is pressure from motel owners to attract visitors from outside the area to use these extra rooms. The gun shows, held 3 or 4 times a year don't bring in a lot of overnight guests. Although in August, filling these rooms are fairly easy with the track in operation.

I take it that Mr. Duffy did not have much in the way of liquid or fixed assets. Probably did not have much more than minimum required liability insurance either. It is a shame that he is eligible for parole in just 5 years although parole is seldom approved on the first attempt.

What do you expect? The democrats have a 2-1 enrollment advantage in NY. Other polls indicate that 1 out of 4 likely voters are not going to vote for either of the 2 major party candidates. To make your dissatisfaction known, Write in "Donald Duck" if you are a republican, "Mickey Mouse" if you are a democrat, or "Bugs Bunny" if you are a minor party member or independent. Don't forget, there are several contests for state and federal representitives, also.

Restored by 6PM tonight, yeah right!!! with the number of outages they have, there will probably be a few left without power until Monday. National Grid has a history of giving unrealistic schedules for mass restoration.Restoration depends upon several factors; Getting the larger outages with hundreds of customers out back first, then the smaller ones. Restorations where there is considerable equipment damage takes longer. Help from neighboring utilities is generally not available this time because they have multiple outages. Help from contractors is possible but limited because they will get requests for crews from all of the utilities that need help.

I think that this cliche I am about to pass on applies to attorney's just as much as any other purchase of goods and services; "You get what you pay for". I am sure that high profile attorneys like E. Stewart Jones, Michael Koenig, Stephen Coffey and the now retired Terrance Kindlon would loved to have taken this case for a much higher fee.

One media outlet reported that the vehicle she came in with entered the parking lot and right at reporters. It seems like the driver might ought to be charged with reckless endangerment. The behavior of the family in this matter raises some serious questions.

Chuck, It so happens that I graduated from HVCC, I cannot see where anyone said HVCC and SCCC were not colleges, and your use of the term "spouting " is offensive. The right is not opposed to education as you suggest, they are in favor of paying at least some out of your own pocket, not expecting someone else to pay for it. If you attend a community college, as I recall, you pay 1/3 of the tuition. The rest is split between the state and your county. There are a variety of jobs out there, some require 4 or more years of college, some require some college, others require vocational training. There is no sense running huge student debt or higher taxes to pay for college where it is not needed.
