I'll say it again....This whole thing is a joke!!!! Where else can you go, and do the things that these guys have done and still be employed as a law enforcement officer.....What a waist of time, energy, and money on this issue. Just fire them and get it over with!!!!!
WHAT A JOKE!!!!!! I can't believe that this is still going on!! I am so glad that I don't live in Schenectady any more. The taxes are outrageous and all you get is constant nonsense. THE SAME NONSENSE. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. FIRE THE BUMS AND GET IT OVER WITH; they can't be that protected... There a bunch of cowboys running around a depressed city. Sorry, but if anyone goes and lives elsewhere, you will see what I mean... Its very sad, but true.
For anyone that is saying there is two sides to the story. Well, where is there the other side. Right now I suspect that the Administration of NDBG is trying to come up with something that would be acceptable to the public eye. The principle should have know that the decision to deny the request, would have caused the parents, students and public to want to know why. Private or not an explanation is deserved to all involved. And just out of decency, during a very special event for these two students; NDBG owes them an explanation. For all that are passing judgement on Ashley Civitello; I can tell you that she is a good young lady with no history of disciplinary or other issues. If there were issues, it should be well documented by the school. I suspect that you will find no such thing. When it comes down to it; it is a shame that this transpired. Its a shame that NDBG's and the Principles Ego got in the way of these two students enjoying what should have been one of the most memorable moments of their life. And yes, the principle doesn't pay the tuition, the parents of the students do. To end, they should be able to bring who they want. Ohhh, I forgot this would mean that there is a chance that someone might be there that doesn't fit the mold that they want. Not a very Christian way to be??, OR IS IT?? I'm sorry Ashley that you missed your prom.
This Police dept. is a joke. All of them are a bunch of cowboys. Every time something happens they always say, its just a few bad apples. Well there seems to be alot of bad apples. The union contract is a big part of the problem, its made it so that these guys are untouchable. Another problem is the alcohol abuse that goes on. There is no excuse for these guys to act the way they do. Unfortunatly, they think that the thin blue line is going to protect them. The one good thing is that as we can see from this matter; it did not, and the dept took the appropiate action to find this officer and arrest him. It would be interesting to see however, if the dept. wasn't under the microscope; would they have taken the same action. Probally not... The dept. needs to just start firing officers, and worry about the arbitration issues later. The first officer that should go....and I can't believe that he is still employed; is John Lewis. It blows my mind that he is still on the books. If hes not going, then the rest of the group surely don't think they are. To end, I once observed a former Schdy PD detective park his car in my yard (I was renting a two family at the time), and he would disappear in the downstairs apartment for 4 to 6 hours a night while he spent time with his extramarital relations. I did take action and called the PD, which resulted in nothing, and then brought it to the attention of a City council member, which also resulted in no-action. My regret is that I didn't call the media to observe this; and contact the detectives wife so that she could have caught him in the act. She would have appreciated the sounds that were coming from above.
Popular high school student!!! As opposed to unpopular, not so popular student. Why are we identifying this student as such. Would he be less remembered, or missed, or less thought of if he was not as "popular" Please; don't identify someone as better than someone else or "popular". I can tell you; the poor quiet kid right now is thinking that if something were to happen to him or her, would they be forgotten.
No matter how you look at it, the sport is barbaric and violent. Think about it; two people in a cage (like animals), fighting. No matter what angle you take it does nothing for the well being of anyone. As a society we should be evolving. It would be very disappointing to see in the year 2009 or anytime later, that this sport advance. We live in a time when the sport should be slowly outlawed. However, its a big money maker, and if the powers to be get a taste of this; that element might obscure thier vision in seeing the reality.
Please NY Legislature, dont feed the rage....Teach society and our children something better!
Are they for real!!!! The painting contract alone was over a quarter of a million dollars. "Paint that was applied before was the culprit"....they say. What a joke! Its called a cob job!!!; a very expensive one.
Well!! Officer SNOW, it finally caught up to you. Shame on you. What about the rest of the Schdy crew that still dabbles in the 70's drug scene. Unfortunately they never grew-up. That scene is long over with. Sneaky Pete's burned down along time ago. (Oh by the way for all of those who don't know; Mr. Kazmerac didn't acquire his nickname of Ofc. Snow for nothing; his habits were well known by many, for many years). As far as simpathy or continuing with his story. There should be none. Case closed!!!!!
