And where was Mr. Gallup's union during all of this. CSEA, hiding in a corner, staying away from the membership, and generally doing nothing.
Members need to ask for better....

To no ones surprise, CSEA knows nothing until its too late. 18 layoffs, loss of services, In 2012, there were 36 counties providing this service. Now its 12. Quite a resume for incompetence and poor stewardship.
Sounds like a the normal batting average for CSEA, a union with its head stuck in the sand.

Mr Benny is right. To pay top dollar for a piece of land with no planned use is poor management. The taxes here are already crushing the limited incomes of our seniors, not to mention scaring off potential buyers.
If in fact the "snowbirds" cannot realistically participate in the vote, it should be postponed temporarily. To pay that much for land with no planned use is nothing more than a "Lotto" win for the property owner.

26 minutes response time is too long in an emergency. How about asking the Sheriffs department to help out.

Poor GE needs a tax break. Didn't you save enough when you decimated the medical plan or abolished the defined benefit pension plan?
Here is an idea. Hire more contract workers! Push out the long term employees and hire more international contractors. Oh wait, you already do that.

DOCTOR David Pratt retired from GE and then went to work for the county at a salary of $135,000 a year. His take on the cost of this benefit reduction would be vastly different that a retired factory worker.
What would be peanuts for him would be a huge burden for others, and to use his comments is misleading.

Lets not forget the non-political workers below the 6th floor, where the real work gets done. Their contract expires on January 1, 2016.

And those that appear on the list because their name is maybe same or similar, but should not be on the list? Their constitutional rights are stripped without due course?
This guy would have us all watch generic "Oscar Meyer Weiner" commercials on TV so no one could ever be offended and give cops pepper spray.

Might be worth asking the County Highway department if they could pitch in for peak snow plowing. They have the equipment and expertise to do it. Just a thought.

Never mind all that. Mr. Parisi did the right thing. Too bad he did not drop that punk like a rock.
