cfield: your idea makes all too much sense, except they would rather punish law abiding citizens that own firearms.

The problem is that the Department allows the Gazette to dictate discipline and policy. There is NO VIOLATION OF THE LAW. Chaires and McCarthy should tell this rag of a paper to go scratch. Unfortunately, EVERY time Kathleen Moore writes an article it elicits a response from the Department. Why not just say "these officers did nothing wrong, we have no further comment."

Wow... Guys like to look at breasts, I had no idea! Slow news day in Schenectady? Good lord. We are scraping the barrel for "news". This paper is a joke. Pander to the cop haters... Is this 1950? Are we all of a sudden Puritans? "Oh no, those men are objectifying women! We have to report it!" Nevermind that the money those men spent ON THEIR OWN TIME put food on teh table for the dancers, or put presents under the tree. Kathleen Moore is the first to bash the cops for watching strippers but I bet she'd be the first to stand up for the stripper's right to make a living. Hypocrite much?

when have you ever seen big government be more effecient than small government. State mandates, federal mandates etc are whats killing us. small government works best.

under consolidation the towns will pay more taxes and get less services. Police, Fire and so on will speed all there time in the city and those paying higher taxes will never get services

Ya great idea. consolidate and see how the county can realy waste money. The county currently spends 78% of our tax money on welfare and god knows what else they do with all the sales tax revenue. Blame unions there the problem for sure, they all work for a living instead of reaping your democratic welfare.
