gina99: Rotterdam has been a Democratic stronghold for quite some time, this is nothing new......and just exactly where is the Republican Party?.....oh that's right they all switched parties..........the reality in the county is there are more Democrats than Republicans, and unless the Republicans start stepping up, things will never change.....as a side note, I wonder why all the unopposed feel the need to plaster the town with their campaign material......

I had a similar experience in the Hannaford parking lot....while standing near my sisters car waiting for her to come out, a person parked in a handicap space tossed a lottery ticket onto the ground....I looked him square in the eye and said "Really? You just toss it on the ground." I then picked up the ticket and tossed it into the open window. The driver looked at me sheepishly then drove away.......I simply will not tolerate bad behavior anymore......btw the person was elderly.......as am I...:)

New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law Section 1210 is titled unattended motor vehicle and states:
(a) No person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle shall permit it to stand unattended without first stopping the engine, locking the ignition, removing the key from the vehicle, and effectively setting the brake thereon and, when standing
upon any grade, turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the highway, provided, however, the provision for removing the key from the vehicle shall not require the removal of keys hidden from sight about the vehicle for convenience or emergency.

I would argue that it is also illegal to leave your keys in the ignition unattended, and that the driver was acting in an equally lazy manner.......it's just plain stupid thing to do......
