Police corruption, crime, police corruption, murder, police corruption, elected official corruption, police corruption, assault, police corruption.

There - I just gave you the Schenectady news. Nobody needs the online edition of something that's the same damn story every single day.

I wonder how the Gazette feels when you can still go to the library & some book stores and read their edition for free? Maybe they can restrict that, too. Yeah, we're losing money, so let's restrict the amount of people reading it. Absolutely brilliant. No wonder the city is full of dumb.

How about this - instead of spending more taxpayer dollars by hiring more cops, replace the ones that are already suspended. It makes no sense keeping those causing the most trouble on payroll. By giving them a second, third, or fourth chance is practically begging for that sort of behavior to continue. Fire them, replace them with someone new. Part of the problem with this police mess is that the cops know full well what they can get away with and stay gainfully employed. It seems cutthroat, but you know what? That's what the SPD needs. You mess up once, you're done. The department's reputation is already in shambles - there needs to be serious sweeping changes, and their solution is to just hire more cops?

Zzzz...SCSD does something the public eye doesn't agree with yet again, people complain about it, nothing happens, wake up the next morning and take a piss.

Seriously, if it enrages you so much, yank your kids out of the schools and move.

So which of you want to defend him, too?

The other cop who camped out in his apartment while on duty seemingly got a free pass from many of you. What about this new guy?

It never ends in that stupid town, does it?

Your tax dollars help pay their salary, remember that.

Well, you could start by not living in the proverbial dumphole that is Schenectady. I'm so glad I left that place. Don't like the conditions? Stop having babies and move.

ROFLCOPTER @ those of you defending this clown. HE TOOK AN OATH TO PROTECT AND DEFEND, and this is what he's doing to earn a paycheck - PAID FOR IN PART THROUGH YOUR TAXES. Defend this idiot all you want. He's just another sad story in a long line of corrupt and stupid Sch'dy cops.

The Gazette was the paper I grew up with, but the reality is that we are in a recession. Not to mention we have four, count that, four newspapers covering the capital district. Not enough news happens around here to warrant that many.

Top this with this crazy, new invention called the internet where news is updated in real time, and you can see why The Gazette is struggling. Maybe they should make their publication available exclusively online.

But, I'm sure someone would complain about that, too.

"the district’s job is to educate kids, not feed them."

This is the point that should be boldfaced, highlighted, and underlined. We live in a culture today that treats our schools like they're daycare centers, a quick and easy spot to drop off our kids. Let the school take care of them for eight hours while parents shuffle off to work, or to the bars, etc.

Feed your child breakfast. Make them lunch. How hard is this? Don't make excuses, seeing how you had zero problems having the child.
