In reading the article titled, "Easing the load on the heart," this is a wonderful article and i can attest that this new method called aquaphersis is a break through in the medical field. the process of ultrafiltration saved my brother's life this year in February when he present to albany medical center emergency room with water buildup in his arms and mainly his legs. He has been living with heart failure since 2004 and justed turned 30 in february and this process helped remove about 2 liters of fluid from my brother. he was about 180 pounds coming into the hospital and left weighing about 144 pounds. Thanks to Albany Medical Center and their wonderful heart failure team that he is still here.
