The idea that "True Christians", can't condone gay marriage is wrong,why not? Should the "True Christians" condone what the Priests did to our children, should they believe thats okay? I was a "True Christain", upto and until I learned what the priests had done, and I literally barfed then I searched and found that, I could not condone a religion that believes in absolution, to thier priests who molest our children, and close out our places of worship. Now you say they can't have thier own beliefs on issues , such as gay marriage? People its time to grow up. The USA, was built on the idea that we have freedom of our own choices, and now you want us to say "I can't make a choice, because the suposed Bible, doesn't provide for it?" I believe you should examine the wrongs along with the rights that the Catholic Church has done as I have, and grow with the ages, and that the supposed "True Christains" who really condone a priest who molests thier children, should have thier heads examined,. I am a methodist now because I was not afraid to believe that the one way "Catholic Church", and the supposed "True Christains" was wrong, and I believe God would would want the world to grow, and better itself, rather than to see it just fade away. Open your eyes, and smell the coffee, it unites people, (Gay Marriage) as I think God would want, not pushing them out. some people may disagree but, I have a right to my opinion just as they do, whether I agree or not.
I believe Mr. Weaver, its a case of "what ever floats thier boats", bigamists, polygamists, as long as thier happy. I believe they should have the same rights whether they are gay,Homosexuals etc. and they should be able to marry.
I have to agree Lois Biette, Paterson is only trying to bust the union. I also agree with the ad, with his fingers in his ears. This should be hung in the Governors Mansion. His numbers have gone down to 19%(aprooval), this probably reflects his Family Members Opinions. We need You, the Stateworkers because , Obviously Paterson can't run the State, you guys are. In as far as gay maraige why worry about the the small stuff. I look at it this way as long as they don't look at me, and as long as they are happy, let them marry.The catholic church doesn't sanction, what the Priests did, but they fight gay maraige, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I was a catholic , But the church and the antics of it, including gay maraige,just enforced me to turn to the methodist church, I have friends who are gay, and live together, and I would be happy to see them married. I would even go to the ceremony. People its time to grow up, and smell the coffee.
I too agree with Roger Malebranche, and I am a Democrat Jim Tedesco, is man always will be the best man for the job.The people who voted for Murphy need thier heads examined, the idea of voting along party lines is a bunch of bull. I believe they will regret thier decision of voting Murphy in, and all I can say to them, "I told you so", they put a man in office that has no experience in politics, look at Paterson. Jim Tedesco, has the political experience, and has gumption to do the job, Murphy will send them(The Jobs) to India. Things will be rough for Murphy, because he is a "NEWBIE", and he does deserve everything he gets. I hope they make it miserable for him.
I believe God is strong, but, the(priests) have ruined it, (Catholic Church). You have the right to your opinion I have mine, so get over it and grow up. These are businesses, and there is a market for them. The county collects taxes, so why make them shut down? I see this as a bunch of righteous idiots, who don't want to see Schenectady succeed, they want to see businesses they like prosper , not anything else. Well folks its time to grow up, and realize that yours is not the only right opinion. If they weren't paying taxes then I could see getting rid of them, but they do.I may not like that for a business such as Walgreens, they put up, and boom there is a CVS , a Rite Aid etc., put in a mile away, get the picture. This is called competiton, and with the economy the way it is, we need it. Why knock something which is actually good for the city and county, so it prospers. People wake up, and realize we need this, its just whats best. Leave the businesses alone.
Take a look, at what the priests have been accused of, does it really mean anything anymore to be a "Real Catholic," or is it better to shut your eyes and hide your head, to what has happened, the world is changing and so is the catholic church. I was a "Real Catholic" and did some real thinking, I have a 2YR old daughter, and I decided with all the allegations and the "Turmoil" the catholic church was no longer for me. I am not trying to knock the Catholic Church, or its members, but I found that I was more coimfortable being a "Methodist" and I believe strongly in "Gay Marraige", and I don't like abortions, but in any case it has to be done in certain situations. I also believe that thier is no right or wroing position here, and I feel that I have grown up, why can't you and the "Catholic Church", if you want to pray for anything or anyone it should be so that you to can grow and realize that yours isn't the only right opinion, and learn to accept others, leaving thier differences behind. Isn't that in the bible too?
This is why its worth putting the time and energy, into the habitat for humanity etc, the abandoned buildings can be fixed up. I for one would be happy to volunteer, would you? This has to be done, and asap. As for the city water deficiancies, that to has to be woreked on. I would want a residential sprinkler system, which would save on house insurance also.
The only way to stop Patterson is to get a RECALL LAW, in place, then he can be removed from office, we already have enough damage done to us. Paterson is ruining New York, not that he cares. He needs to be either ousted, or has to step down himself. This would be best for New York. Hey Paterson, let a real man, or woman take the job, because you can't handle it.
