I am dumbfounded by people's ignorance. If only fast food restaurants and big box stores were stepping stones to better jobs for everyone. The $21 milllion CEOs rely on that front line sales staff (and that's who they are, NOT people who do nothing) for their paychecks.
@Jeffrey Clark, do you actually have any empathy?

Interesting perspective. We were in the balcony and found it difficult to understand Valjean in the first act especially. After the first few numbers, it was better. We liked Javert very much and found him easier to understand. We enjoyed it very much, but it was a bit like opera, in that you didn't always know what they were saying but you got the jist. Eponine was a standout, as well as Fantine's numbers as she died and then when she came back for Valjean. We loved the "new" staging as well.

This is the first time I've heard Niskayuna is getting a Walmart. We definitely do not need another grocery option. I predict one of the existing stores will close and then we will be left with vacant older plaza space. Why would anyone think this is a good thing?

I wonder how much of this is due to the former superintendent's determination to have a full day kindergarten - he had to build out the elementary schools and hire more staff. Now he's left a mess for his successors to clean up.

I always get the meatballs and peppers with French fries. You can't go wrong.

I had no idea kindergarten teachers were paid so well in this district! 13 years on the job and making $80K. That's amazing.

The Board is taking comment, and the majority of those comments to date have been negative. But with Council members Landry and McDonnell promoting it (not just supporting it, but promoting it), I don't understand how they can possibly be listening to the concerns raised.

Let's see. He's been here a couple years, looked for other jobs at least twice during that time. Maybe the Trustees should make it easier for him to devote himself to the search full time.
