Dadlobby and Franklowe, you scare the crap out of me.
But I wanted to comment on Ms. Russell's letter. I just got back from the Lion King at Proctors. The two young girls who sat next to me took out their cell phones no less than 25 times during the show. The constant flashing of their screens was a terrible distraction. I asked them to please put them away. That lasted for the first half of the show. During the second half, all bets were off. That is what we object to. People who don't know better or don't even care about others.

Don't you just love how fast and loose the state plays with your taxpayer dollars? At least this wasn't as bad as dragging Bruno through court for year after year and then having to pay his legal bills.
Then on one hand all these people are defending Charlie's right to free speech in Paris and on the other hand, New York has a problem with this. Ridiculous.

It's hard to believe that one can have this kind of outside employment and not have it affect the job with the school district. That said, I haven't seen any evidence of that, and both my kids went through the Niskayuna school district. Maybe Tom Swyers is surmising that the travel baseball and school team antics wouldn't have occurred or been allowed to occur if Rickert had been on the ball. And those antics do occur and continue to occur. Read the book if you want to understand.

Made us think of what happened to Scott Ritter when he said there were no WMD in Iraq before Bush invaded it.

Let's pretend that her speech said, put your faith in Allah or Shiva or Olorun or Waheguru, and not God. Do you feel the same way?

So glad. I Thought St. Mary's rectory or school would have made nice apartments with parking right there. But the neighborhood is disgusting. I hope this will help.

Thoughtful and insightful article - nice job. People need a way to make a living and telling them to go to school isn't always the answer. College doesn't guarantee a better job; college is expensive; college isn't for everyone.

Phil-right wing government leader is an oxymoron.

Thank you Mr. Moody for your letter. That says it all in a nutshell. Re: Roberts' previous comment, I guess the best approach when you can't dispute the facts, is to redirect the conversation.
