About 400 elementary- and middle-school students taking part in the Shenendehowa Inventors program will display their inventions at the former Cotton Market store at Clifton Park Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
This is absurd. The kid is being charged with a federal offense, which is tantamount to terrorism under the Patriot Act. Detention for sassing off to the principle sounds a much more fitting punishment than the fines and jail time associated with the alleged crimes, especially considering that the kid could probably be tried as an adult. If the school continues to prosecute then I propose a lawsuit against the school for violating obscenity laws. Or perhaps a charge as classic as "being of morally and ethically bankrupt character".
