If he was on private property the open containers law does't apply. Plus why do they have to say he was in the company of a known prostitute, would they have mentioned it if she was a known bank teller or politician? Then again if he was with a Schenectady cop we all know something funny was going on.

Let you not forget all the farms in Saratoga County than produce milk, corn, vegatables, beef and jobs. Oh should I mention GREEN space that sucks up some but not all the carbon dioxide produced by the chip plants and the employees driving to work? Saratoga County is a nice place to live still and I as one would like to keep it that way without the mighty dollar overshadowing the quest for the almighty dollar althought day by day it is worth less!

The law went in to effect when? The original offer for sale was when? The Rats came out when? The cops were right on it like white on rice so the headlines were in their favor rather than burglary and rape still unsolved after 6 months.

You have to love this country but things have to change. We pay taxes on our taxes and surcharges on those taxes and Congress only looks for more revenue never ways to cut spending unless it is for Social Security. They have had their hands in the Social Security cookie jar for so long, for so much and now they want to give it to millions who never paid in so even more revenue is needed from an ever shrinking work force. Lets start by cutting retirement for Congress and The Senate unless you serve for 20 years to become eligible like most other jobs.

Public pensions are way too generous and have been for way too long. Police and firefighters need only put in 20 years in many places before they can draw a pension, which being the job it is still is overly generous. They will say they put their lives on the line every day and deserve it, yes they do put their lives on the line by choice, they weren't drafted. Then there is that overtime deal, they refuse to work OT until their last 3 years then work 100 hours a week to inflate the retirement benefit. Ask one of them why a soldier doesn't get the same or better benefits when they work 24-7. Teachers use the excuse it is the stress of the job and they negotiated for the benefit but they don't have to perform like everyone else or get booted because there is tenure. It seems every teacher has an aid these days, every hall a monitor, bus monitors, monitor monitors, where does it end? Let everyone be responsable for saving for the golden years, I can't say an 85 year old couple should lose their life long home because they can't afford the taxes on it due to their 50 year old neighbor collecting a handsome pension for working 30 years or less.

It only goes to show that people who are serious about committing suicide will do so, those who aren't will use a known less effective attempt in order to get help. As for the Golden Gate Bridge, did the suicide rate in San Francisco go down? I think not, it just moved to a different strategy.

Mrobarge, you must just look bad, I service machinery and get let into schools all the time, the only problem I ever had getting in was when school was out of session and I was wearing a T shirt advertising beer. They made me go put my long sleeve work shirt on in August because it said beer on my T, no students in the building though. Oh and I bring a big ole bag of tools in that an M1A1 tank would fit in and it has never been searched on the way IN, only out!

Tax Tax Tax, New York is King at taxing everything but big business. Oh if you tax big business it will move out of state costing jobs. So lets tax even out of state businesses but not pay them to collect NY taxes just like NY doesn't pay NY business to collect taxes for the state. How about we try telling those idiots in Albany to stop throwing money at useless programs and crazy pensions or look for a job out of state. I ran a small business and the NYS tax dept was a nightmare to deal with, unreliable information from them but always had both hands out looking for more money. Maybe I'll move out of state and spend my money in another state that has half the taxes and no wannabe King for governor!
