This is an on going affair with the VA. It is my opinion that your initial claim it will be denied. Like mine has been. Then the never ending battle of appeals starts. I have a claim for HCV that has turned into stage 4 liver disease. The HCV is not in my medical records. Because it takes 25-30 yrs to show its effects. I worked in the medical field and was stuck by needles cut by scalpels and exposed to infected blood in service 73-75. Claim filed 2002 My life expectancy is less than 7 yrs at most.
