I'm not calling you. I'm right, you know it, and that's enough for me.

Free fun fact- viable fetuses aren't people, they aren't even chickens. Viable isn't even a fair term when considering that stillbirths can occur due to something as simple as the umbilical cord being wrapped around the still-abortable fetus' neck.

Drill Down twice to get to- what else? The National Review. If you gave William F Buckley an enema they could have buried him in a matchbook.

They're not pro-life, they're anti-abortion. There's a difference. You can't kill someone that doesn't exist.

Phil- teaching a man to fish does no good if he starves to death while you so-called "conservative" christians argue about whose job it is to teach him. Sarah Palin made rape victims pay for their own rape kits when she was the mayor of Wasilla. What a fine example of a caring, christian person she is!

You know that story about Jesus in the temple, driving out the moneychangers? You people need to stop worrying so much about money and start worrying about your souls as you fight against universal healthcare for your christian brothers and sisters. Be your brother's keeper, Cain.

Guess what, Eric. We Christians do not have a monopoly on God. Your letter also makes zero sense as it relates to political theory and the relationship between politics and theism.

I'm suprised and disappointed the Gazette was willing to publish this, even online. It doesn't say anything. Bad job on this one, Editors.

::Raises hand::

The super rich are already not paying their fair share, and the only politicians that are selling the argument against this program are doing so for purely political reasons. The only lobbying group against this for non-political reasons? Health insurance companies, who make millions every year by denying coverage to the "risky" covered.

shortpencil- like the petersen case? Sham. The guy brutalized his pregnant wife and the system only allows for so much punishment for one murder, so the jury decided to try him for two. I was going to Siena at the time and we had a big conversation in my sociology class on it and how ridiculous a scenario it was.
No, two murders for killing one pregnant woman means you've invented a murder.

BTW- nobody is arguing that a blastoid is a alive, just like a wart, a ringworm, cancer cells, and the AIDS virus is alive. It doesn't mean they shouldn't be removed under the circumstances that they pose an impediment to life enjoyment. The Right to an Abortion is an easy issue and is a right given to us by a that which gave us healthcare and science and logic and reason. If you don't wish to exercise it, that's your call.
