At this point in time, making it more difficult for people to park would not be helpful. People want to know they can come down, park and not be hassled.
You see a lot more people coming to downtown now. Just a few years ago, downtown was a crumbling ghost town. On a Saturday afternoon you would not want to walk alone. Now when local people want to go out - they do not travel to Albany, there are many good restaurants and bars downtown. Schenectady has a lovely center and I hope the progress continues.
I think that our flag is something to be proud of. Flying the flag honors all the the people who have sacrified to give us our freedom and is a symbol of support for the ideals on which our country was founded.
What people do not realize is that this is about having all New Yorkers represented in the Senate. It is about a free and open process where all elected representatives receive a fair allocation of senate resources. Because one side has one more senator than than the other side does not mean that the side with one less vote cannot bring bills before the senate or be shut out from using senate resources. Look at what happened when the democrats did not like what they heard - they control the media services and they pulled the plug because they did not want the public to see what was happening. This is fascism when 61 reprsentatives can shut out the other 60. We vote for the person, not the party and all voices need to be heard.
