Everybody loves to hate government and all its representatives at every level. I guarantee that if a PD disciplinary hearing were open to the public, The Public would be there complaining about broken traffic lights, potholes, their neighbor's garbage. It would simply be an opportunity for John Q to vent.

Personnel matters are private matters.
The end.

The teenagers are getting the money for the tanning salon either from their parents or from their own jobs. I suspect in most cases, it is the former. If their parents don't care, why should I?

The union's website has an article about some worker at some other location whistleblowing on an OSHA violation, and getting disciplined unfairly.
Is the discipline of this unknown worker, who "committed a 'significant safety violation'" payback by the company, or evidence of the company's commitment to safety? If the former, then good for the union. If the latter, shame on the union.
The union's website doesn't say what the safety violation was.

Beat up on the state employees all you want, but be prepared to wait a little longer for your vehicle registration, for roads to get fixed, for traffic lights to be installed at dangerous intersections...for all the services that the state provides. It's like electricity. You don't realize how much service the state provides until you don't have it.

The ice cream cartons I have seen are not labeled "half gallons." They're just referred to that way in conversation.
They're labeled according to their contents.
No fraud.
